In a recent announcement, the Saudi cabinet reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to bolstering the preventative efforts spearheaded by the OPEC+ group to stabilize the oil markets.

This includes an extension of the voluntary reduction, accounting for one million barrels per day, which was initiated last July and is now set to continue through September.

Under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the council’s meeting today highlighted Saudi Arabia’s dedication to addressing environmental challenges both regionally and globally.

A testament to this dedication is the adoption of various strategic initiatives, notably the Green Middle East initiative. This initiative aims to contribute to achieving global goals in the environmental sector.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi Council of Ministers also welcomed the nation’s hosting of the United Nations Global Centre of Excellence for Geospatial Information for the Environment.

This center stands as a pivotal platform for future insights in the realm of environmental data, aligning with growth, innovation, and the sustainable development goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
