The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Kingdom is urging supporters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) to fulfill their humanitarian role towards Palestinian refugees in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry underscored the importance of UNRWA’s continued operation to ensure the provision of basic necessities to Palestinians, aiming to alleviate the impacts of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in occupied Palestine.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the Foreign Ministry, in a statement released Monday, emphasized Saudi Arabia’s close monitoring of the international fallout concerning allegations against several UNRWA employees. The Kingdom stresses the need to enhance review and investigation procedures to establish the facts, especially given the sacrifices made by UNRWA workers, including many who have been killed or injured due to random Israeli shelling on relief houses in and around the Gaza Strip.

The statement also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s deep concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis in the blockaded Gaza Strip, caused by blatant violations of international law and international humanitarian law by the Israeli occupation forces.
