Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, engaged in a telephone conversation to deliberate on regional matters and the execution of agreements made by the two countries’ presidents on December 7, as stated in a Russian Foreign Ministry statement.
The dialogue encompassed discussions on pressing regional and bilateral issues, with a particular emphasis on implementing the agreements established during the high-level Russian-Iranian talks in Moscow earlier in December.
The statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry highlighted that the diplomats also reviewed the schedule for upcoming meetings.
The December 7 meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi at the Kremlin covered a wide range of topics, spanning bilateral concerns to international issues, including the situation in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict zone.
The ongoing communication between the foreign ministers signifies the commitment of both nations to addressing and advancing the agreements made during their recent high-level talks.
