Qatar Urges Global Effort to De-escalate Middle East Tensions

On Sunday, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to take urgent action to de-escalate tensions in the region, following a significant attack by Iran involving dozens of drones and missiles on Israel.

The Ministry expressed deep concern over the escalating situation and urged all parties involved to cease further escalations, calm tensions, and practice maximum restraint.

This appeal comes in the aftermath of the Revolutionary Guard of Iran launching several drone and missile strikes on Israel. The strikes were in retaliation for an airstrike earlier this month that targeted the Iranian consulate building in Damascus, Syria.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry’s statement highlights the country’s role as a mediator in regional conflicts and underscores the urgency for international diplomacy to prevent further violence.

Qatar continues to advocate for peaceful resolutions and stability in the Middle East, urging global leaders to prioritize diplomatic solutions to these critical security issues.
