The Russian Ambassador to Libya, Aidar Aganin, met with the Qatari Ambassador to Libya, Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Dosari, at the Qatari Embassy in Tripoli.

According to a post by the Russian Embassy on X (formerly Twitter), the ambassadors discussed the political process in Libya during their meeting.

They emphasized the importance of reaching a consensus among Libyan parties to resolve the political crisis, achieve national stability, and conduct general elections.

In a statement, the Qatari Embassy in Tripoli added that the ambassadors also reviewed bilateral relations and topics of mutual interest between the two friendly countries.

The Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Ageela Saleh, asserted today that the solution to Libya’s ongoing crisis lies in conducting both presidential and parliamentary elections.

In a statement released by the media centre of the Libyan House of Representatives, Saleh emphasized that the House has fulfilled all its obligations by issuing the 13th constitutional amendment and enacting laws for presidential and parliamentary elections.

These measures aim to reflect the will of the Libyan people without exclusion or marginalization.

Saleh stated, “The solution in Libya will only come through holding presidential and parliamentary elections, allowing Libyans to freely choose through fair and transparent elections.
