Amit Midha has been appointed as the Global Chief Executive Officer of Alat, a recently established company under the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), according to the Saudi Press Agency’s report on Tuesday.
A seasoned global business leader, Midha has a track record of building and transforming businesses across various countries, including China, the United States, India, and Singapore. In his previous role at Dell Technologies, he played a key role in driving Dell’s growth in the Asia Pacific and Japan regions, overseeing a multi-billion-dollar business across more than 40 countries.
Alat, part of PIF, aims to enhance the technological sector’s capabilities in Saudi Arabia, fostering an environment conducive to creating investment opportunities. The company’s mission is to empower the private sector, contributing to the growth of the commercial landscape through strategic business systems and collaborations with leading international technology manufacturers.
Commenting on his new role, Midha outlined Alat’s ambitious goals, stating, “Our mandate is to transform the global industries of electronics and advanced industrials by creating a sustainable manufacturing hub leveraging the Kingdom’s solar, wind, and green hydrogen clean energy.” He emphasized Alat’s commitment to using cutting-edge AI technology and Industry 4.0 best practices to revolutionize business operations and manufacturing processes.
