A 20-year-old male sustained serious injuries from a knife assault while on a train in the Rhineland region of Germany, occurring early Monday.
Police clarified that, fortunately, the wounds were not fatal. It appears the incident escalated from a dispute between the victim and a 35-year-old individual during their journey from Koblenz to Lahnstein, a route that spans approximately 6 kilometers south along the Rhine River.
Following the confrontation, law enforcement promptly apprehended the alleged attacker.
Emergency services transported the injured young man to a Koblenz hospital, where he received medical care.
Authorities assured that the altercation posed no threat to other passengers. Nevertheless, the incident led to temporary disruptions in the train service in the area.
