The head of Libya’s interim Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbaibah, stated that “there will be no more transitional phase, parallel governments, or fictitious budgets,” adding that “there will be one milestone, the title of which is the elections, and we will continue in our mission until this desired goal.”

Dbaibah continued, acknowledging the international community’s view, “The compelling force that failed the elections is the laws.” He called for “enforceable laws that are not tailored to enable a particular party,” according to his speech at the sixth regular meeting in Ghadames on Thursday, reported by the “Our Government” page on Facebook.

He further stated, “I say to all those seeking power, give the right to the Libyan people, open the ballot boxes, and then each of you will know your natural weight before the people.”
