The primary aim of the discussions was to assess the ongoing search and rescue operations in the streets and areas of Derna city. The delegation also briefed Saleh on the latest developments in regions affected by recent floods and inundations.

Saleh lauded the relentless efforts put forth by various units of the armed forces, local and international teams, and volunteers from all over Libya. He expressed gratitude for their swift response from day one of the tragedy, highlighting their commendable determination in tackling the challenges presented by the floods.

It’s noteworthy that the meeting was attended by prominent figures from the Libyan government. These included the Minister of Interior, Essam Abu Zriba; Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energies, Awad Al-Badri; and Minister of Communications and Informatics, Salem Al-Darsi. Several heads of security agencies were also present.
