Hussein Al-Qatrani, Deputy Prime Minister of Libya’s caretaker government, recently met with Khaled Al-Dosari, the Qatari Ambassador to Libya. Their discussion centered on the evolving political landscape and fostering deeper bilateral ties between the two nations.

Al-Qatrani, according to the platform “Hukumatna” (Our Government), commended Qatar’s unwavering support for the democratic journey in Libya.

In reciprocation, the Qatari Ambassador lauded the efforts made by the government of Abdul Hamid Dbeibah on regional and international platforms to bring stability and unity to Libyan territories.

Libya has witnessed a tumultuous decade since the fall of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, navigating through civil wars, differing factions, and political instability. As the nation grapples with charting a democratic path, international support and recognition have been vital. Among the supporting nations, Qatar has emerged as a crucial ally, echoing its broader strategy in the region to back representative governance structures and institutions.

The meeting between Hussein Al-Qatrani and Khaled Al-Dosari underscores the mutual interest and trust between the two nations as Libya seeks to carve out a stable and democratic future.
