The Libyan Intelligence Agency has officially taken over the presidency of the African Intelligence Services Organization (CISSA) for the upcoming year 2025.

A source within the Libyan Intelligence Agency informed the Libyan News Agency that the agency’s head, General Hussein Mohammed Al-Aib, received congratulations from CISSA member states upon his selection for the presidency of the upcoming session.

The member states praised the efforts of the agency and its leadership in combating terrorism and organized crime.

Members of the agency viewed this presidency as a testament to the agency’s regional and international professionalism and standing.

They emphasized that this recognition would serve as motivation for them to continue their efforts to protect and safeguard the nation’s security and stability.

In May, Libya hosted CISSA meetings, during which participants from 26 countries discussed mechanisms for developing joint strategies to combat terrorism and organized crime.
