The Libyan National Army’s media office reported that Haftar welcomed the visiting delegation and underscored the deep fraternal relations between Libya and Egypt.
In response, Kamel conveyed Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s regards to Haftar, emphasizing Egypt’s commitment to Libya’s unity and stability.
The discussions focused on the political developments of the ongoing Libyan crisis. Both parties stressed the importance of advancing the political process to facilitate presidential and parliamentary elections.
They also expressed support for the efforts of the United Nations Mission in Libya to create conducive conditions for holding the elections.
