Following the announcement of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, Prince Charles ascended to the British throne as King Charles III at the age of 74, after serving as the heir apparent for nearly 64 years.
On May 6, 2023, Charles was officially crowned as the King of Britain in a ceremony attended by monarchs, world leaders, and senior statesmen from across the globe.
In turn, his eldest son, Prince William, assumed the title of Crown Prince and heir to the throne in the line of succession.
