A new convoy of humanitarian aid destined for Gaza has been dispatched by the Jordanian Armed Forces and the Hashemite Charitable Organization.

According to a statement released today by Petra News Agency, the convoy consists of 32 trucks prepared in partnership with the World Food Programme and supported by the Indonesian Student Union and the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, among other grassroots campaigns.

The trucks are loaded with essential food parcels, relief materials such as tents and medical supplies, aimed at distribution to Gaza residents through local associations and partner organizations in the region.

Hussein Shibli, Secretary-General of the Hashemite Charitable Organization, highlighted the critical shortage of blood units in Gaza.

In response, a blood donation campaign has been launched in cooperation with Jordanian professional unions to send blood supplies as part of future aid convoys.

These supplies are intended to support hospitals and health centers in Gaza, facilitating necessary medical treatments and surgeries for the affected population.

Gaza has been grappling with severe humanitarian crises exacerbated by ongoing conflicts and economic hardships.

The enclave, home to nearly two million Palestinians, has faced recurrent shortages of essential supplies, including food, medicine, and shelter. International aid efforts, including those from neighboring countries like Jordan, play a crucial role in alleviating the suffering of Gazan civilians amidst these challenging conditions.

Jordan’s consistent support for Gaza reflects broader regional solidarity efforts aimed at addressing the humanitarian fallout of longstanding conflicts in the Middle East. Such initiatives underscore international commitments to providing humanitarian aid and promoting stability in conflict-affected regions like Gaza.
