In light of the recent floods that wreaked havoc in the city of Derna, Libya, leading to several casualties and injuries, Jordan has expressed its commitment to provide necessary assistance.
Ayman Safadi, Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, emphasized that this initiative is under the directives of King Abdullah II.
Taking to social media, Safadi stated, “Our deepest condolences go out to our Libyan brethren in the wake of these devastating floods. May God bless the souls of the victims and grant the injured a swift recovery. We stand in solidarity with Libya during these trying times, and under the guidance of His Majesty the King, we’re prepared to extend any assistance they require. May God safeguard Libya and its honorable people.”
Furthermore, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed its profound sympathies and condolences to the Libyan government and its people, highlighting the tragedies that ensued due to the floods.
The ministry reiterated Jordan’s unwavering support for Libya during these challenging circumstances and conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, hoping for a speedy recovery for those injured.
