Jordanian Agriculture Minister, Khaled Huneifat, arrived in Algeria on Thursday at the head of a delegation of investors. The visit, lasting until September 25, comes upon the invitation of Abdelhafid Hani, Algeria’s Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
During the visit, Minister Hani hosted discussions at the ministry’s headquarters with his Jordanian counterpart. The talks centered on “enhancing mutual cooperation, especially concerning the agricultural sector and the food industries,” as per the official statement from the Algerian ministry.
Both parties also discussed the “exchange of expertise and experiences, particularly in areas of shared interest.” The conversation indicated an aspiration to elevate the brotherly relations and collaboration between the two nations to a strategic partnership level, aligning with their mutual benefits and visions for further development and progress.
The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Algeria and other senior officials from both countries.
With Jordan and Algeria looking to strengthen their ties, the visit by Minister Huneifat highlights the growing importance of cross-border collaboration in the agricultural and food sectors, promising a brighter future for bilateral relations.
