The Israeli military has warned international media outlets in the Gaza Strip that it cannot guarantee the safety of their crews during the ongoing attacks within the region.
The Israeli army alleges that “Hamas intentionally carries out its military operations in close proximity to journalists and civilians” and has cautioned that they might be harmed in Israeli military attacks, as well as in failed rocket launches by terrorist organizations in Gaza.
In response to this warning, the organization “Doctors Without Borders” released a statement expressing deep concern about the situation in Gaza, where they have lost contact with their colleagues on the ground. They expressed particular concern for patients, medical staff, and thousands of families seeking refuge in al-Shifa Hospital and other healthcare facilities. The organization calls for absolute protection for all medical facilities, staff, and civilians throughout the Gaza Strip.
This warning comes after the Israeli military spokesperson announced the expansion of ground operations inside the Gaza Strip, most notably in areas near Beit Hanoun in the north and the central area of Bureij Camp. In these areas, the “Al-Qassam Brigades” have engaged in fierce clashes, repelling Israeli forces attempting to enter Gaza. The Israeli military states that the ongoing heavy bombardment of Gaza marks a new phase in the war on the region.
Gaza is currently experiencing disruptions in communications and internet services due to a significant Israeli military offensive, as confirmed by the Palestinian telecommunications company “Jawwal.” According to a correspondent for “Fox News,” the current attack on Gaza is the most intense seen since the beginning of the conflict.
