The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported Tuesday that the upper floors of its headquarters in Khan Younis, located in the southern Gaza Strip, were targeted by Israeli artillery fire. The facility was housing thousands of displaced individuals, according to the Arab World News Agency.
Earlier, Palestine TV reported that 26 Palestinians were killed in Khan Younis since last evening, without providing further details.
Meanwhile, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, stated that their fighters have been engaged in “fierce clashes” in Khan Younis since the morning. The Al-Quds Brigades announced on their Telegram account: “Our fighters are involved in fierce clashes with anti-tank shells, machine guns, and mortar shells against the enemy forces that have infiltrated the eastern and northern fronts of Khan Younis since the morning hours.”
The Palestinian death toll since the beginning of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 18,787, while the number of injured has increased to 50,897, as reported by the Arab World News Agency.
