Morocco’s authorities announced on Friday the arrest of five individuals linked to ISIS, suspected of plotting attacks against vital installations and security entities.
The Central Office for Judicial Investigations of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance stated that these operations were intended to “seriously disrupt public order,” including plans by one cell member to construct explosive devices.
According to the agency’s statement, initial investigations indicate that the group aimed to execute terror plots targeting crucial infrastructures and security institutions, while also engaging in campaigns promoting violence.
The arrested individuals are currently detained and under investigation.
