The second batch of injured Palestinian children left Al-Arish Airport in Northeast Egypt, embarking on a journey to the UAE for medical treatment.
This move is part of an initiative led by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to treat one thousand Palestinian children, along with their families, from the Gaza Strip in UAE hospitals.
On Saturday, a plane carrying 15 children and their families arrived in the United Arab Emirates as part of the UAE’s operation “The Noble Knight 3.”
Departing from Al-Arish Airport in Egypt, the aircraft landed at Abu Dhabi Airport, carrying children in dire need of medical assistance, suffering from severe injuries, burns, and cancer requiring urgent treatment.
Maha Barakat, the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Health Affairs, in statements published by the Emirates News Agency (WAM), confirmed that all medical teams and hospitals in the country are fully prepared to welcome the remaining children and their families.
They aim to provide comprehensive care and integrated treatment, offering specialized services that adhere to international standards, ensuring the children’s recovery and safe return.
Barakat added: “The UAE has been swift in providing urgent humanitarian aid and supplies to the Gaza Strip since the crisis began.”
In this context, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, has directed the provision of aid amounting to twenty million dollars. He also ordered the establishment of a fully equipped field hospital in the Gaza Strip as part of the ‘The Noble Knight 3’ operation.”
