Zaher Jabarin, a senior Hamas official in the occupied West Bank, has disclosed ongoing coordination and exchange of expertise among resistance factions in the region. In a Thursday evening interview with Al Jazeera, Jabarin emphasized that the West Bank remains defiant against the Israeli occupation.
Jabarin described the West Bank as historically being a vulnerable point for the occupation but now creatively employing various resistance tools. He highlighted that the region has a significant reservoir of resistance and jihadist capabilities across all segments of Palestinian society.
“The unity of the factions is the strongest barrier against the occupation’s goals,” Jabarin stated, stressing that the people of the West Bank have no choice but to resist and fight until they achieve their freedom and restore their rights.
Jabarin also noted the Palestinian unity behind the resistance, citing opinion polls that favor this option in the West Bank. Regarding Israeli threats to use airstrikes in the West Bank, Jabarin confidently replied, “These threats do not scare us. We are certain that the people of the West Bank will remain defiant and continue to innovate in all forms of resistance.”
The statement underscores the resilience and determination of the West Bank population in their struggle against the Israeli occupation.
