At the highly anticipated 2023 Made by Google event, Google has officially launched the Google Pixel 8 series, a smartphone lineup that introduces several notable upgrades. The flagship device comes preloaded with the latest Android 14 operating system, offering users an advanced and seamless mobile experience.

Key features of the Google Pixel 8 include a 6.2-inch Actua display with an impressive 120Hz refresh rate, providing a smooth and responsive interface. The display boasts a brightness of 1400 nits and is priced at $699, making it an attractive option in the smartphone market.

Optics are a strong suit for the Pixel 8, featuring a powerful camera setup. The primary sensor is a 50MP PD wide lens, accompanied by a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 10.5MP selfie camera. The device is fueled by a 4,575mAh battery, supporting fast charging. It retains popular features from its predecessor, such as Qi wireless charging support and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Under the hood, the Pixel 8 is powered by the Tensor G3 processor, showcasing improved speed and efficiency compared to its predecessor, the Tensor G2. It offers 8GB of RAM and storage options of up to 256GB.

Google has extended its commitment to software support with the Pixel 8, promising up to seven years of security patches and major Android OS updates. This is a substantial improvement from the previous three-year support cycle, ensuring users enjoy the latest features and security enhancements for an extended period.

The Google Pixel 8 Pro, part of the series, features a larger 6.7-inch Super Actua display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of up to 2400 nits, making it the brightest display ever offered by Google. Underneath, it houses the new Tensor G3 chipset, accompanied by the Titan M2 Security Coprocessor and 12GB of RAM. Google extends its commitment to seven years of OS and security updates for the Pixel 8 Pro, reinforcing its dedication to long-term device support and user satisfaction.
