The Palestinian Minister of Communications has highlighted the disruption of the communication network in the Gaza Strip due to the shutdown of primary generators caused by a fuel shortage.

In statements to the Cairo News Channel, the Palestinian Communications Minister issued urgent appeals for the provision of necessary fuel to power generators and restore communication services in Gaza. He emphasized that the Israeli occupation had destroyed 70% of Gaza’s communication network and urged for the reactivation of the remaining infrastructure.

He added, “We see stubbornness from the occupation in dealing with international institutions,” referring to the unprecedented disruption of communications in Gaza. He stressed the importance of securing medical supplies for hospitals in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli airstrikes on Gaza have led to the deaths of over 11,000 people in the besieged enclave.
Israeli troops entered the city and the Jenin refugee camp from various directions, closing all entrances, isolating the city from its external surroundings, demolishing streets, arresting seven citizens, demolishing infrastructure in several locations in the city and camp, and detonating vehicles. Several Palestinians were also injured in drone strikes and Israeli gunfire and were transported to hospitals in the city.
