The death toll and number of injuries in Gaza have escalated to over 134,000 due to the ongoing Israeli offensive that started on October 7th, according to the latest figures from the Gaza Health Ministry.

The ministry’s daily statistical report highlighted that Israeli forces “committed three massacres against families in Gaza,” resulting in 41 deaths and 113 injuries at local hospitals in the past 24 hours alone.

As of this Tuesday, the cumulative death toll stands at 40,476, with 93,647 wounded since the onset of the attacks on October 7th.

The health ministry also noted numerous victims remain trapped under debris or on streets, unreachable by emergency and civil defense teams.

In the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, the death toll since October 7th has risen to 650, including 147 children, with additional casualties reported earlier today.

Meanwhile, Israel’s Kan channel reported that the Israeli military has suffered over 700 fatalities, including officers and soldiers, since the war began.

Within the first three weeks of the conflict, from October 7th to 26th, 326 Israeli military personnel were killed.

Since the start of the ground operation on October 27th, 337 soldiers have been killed in Gaza alone, with the military confirming the release of their names.

White House National Security spokesperson John Kirby announced that the ongoing negotiations in Cairo to reach a ceasefire in Gaza and an agreement on hostages would continue at the working group level over the next few days to resolve specific issues.

Speaking to reporters during an online briefing, Kirby dismissed suggestions that the talks had collapsed, stating that, on the contrary, they had been “constructive,” according to Reuters.
