The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced today that the death toll in Gaza has risen to 40,005, with the majority of the victims being children and women, since the onset of the Israeli occupation’s assault on October 7.

In a statement, the ministry added that the number of injuries has surged to 92,401 since the beginning of the aggression. Thousands of victims are still trapped under the rubble, according to the Palestinian news agency “WAFA.”

The ministry also reported that the Israeli forces committed three massacres against families in Gaza within the last 24 hours, resulting in 40 deaths and 107 injuries. Many victims remain buried under the debris, and emergency teams are struggling to reach them due to the ongoing bombings and dangerous conditions.

The Israeli occupation continues its intense and unprecedented offensive on Gaza by air, land, and sea, leaving thousands of dead and wounded, most of whom are children and women.

Thousands of bodies and injured individuals remain under the rubble as rescue operations are hampered by continuous airstrikes and severe field conditions.

The dire situation is exacerbated by a tight blockade on Gaza and stringent restrictions on the entry of fuel and critical humanitarian aid, worsening the catastrophic humanitarian crisis.

Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani announced plans to propose a comprehensive reconstruction project for Gaza at the upcoming United Nations General Assembly in September.

The proposal, which Tajani intends to present during discussions with the G7 nations, aims to address not only humanitarian needs but also the political and economic rebuilding of the strip, according to Italy’s Aki news agency.
