A limited fire broke out in a storage area at Kuwait’s Al Zour refinery, but production remains unaffected, according to the state-owned Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC).

The incident resulted in no casualties, and firefighters are actively containing the blaze, KIPIC announced on Saturday via X.

Official spokesperson Ali Al Ajmi confirmed, “A limited fire that broke out in one of the storage areas inside the Al Zour Refinery was fully controlled.”

He assured that there were no injuries or damage to life and that refinery operations, including production and export, were not impacted by the fire.
