The European Union (EU) is set to introduce its 14th set of sanctions targeting Russia due to its ongoing conflict with Ukraine, as reported by BR24.
A high-ranking EU official disclosed in a briefing that this new round will focus on penalizing those who are bypassing current sanctions imposed on Russia.
Additionally, it’s expected that the number of individuals and entities subject to asset freezes within the EU will increase.
The EU External Action Service together with the European Commission is scheduled to propose these new measures to EU member states next week.
