Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has reiterated Egypt’s commitment to halting the bloodshed in Gaza and actively contributing to resolving regional crises.
He emphasized that fostering a culture of peace is fundamental to achieving a more stable and secure future for the region and the world.
President El-Sisi made these remarks during a meeting with the Board of Trustees of the Library of Alexandria, which includes a distinguished group of Egyptian and international figures.
Among the attendees were Dr. Magdi Yacoub, Dr. Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu, former Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary-General of the International Organization of La Francophonie, Miguel Moratinos, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, Dr. Mohamed Ben Aissa, former Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and Culture, Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Sheikh Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center in Bahrain, Amina Mohamed, former Kenyan Minister of Culture, Samia Nkrumah, Dr. Mofeed Shehab, Engineer Hani Azer, and Mohamed Salmawy, President of the Egyptian Writers Union.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Library of Alexandria.
