Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, witnessed the signing ceremony of an extension addendum to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the field of government work development between the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development of Egypt and the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs of the UAE.

This event took place on the sidelines of the “World Government Summit 2024″ hosted by Dubai from February 12 to 14.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Hala El-Said, Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs in the UAE.

The signing of this MoU stems from the exceptional bilateral relations between the government of Egypt and the UAE, aiming to build upon the success of the initial MoU signed between the two countries on 12 February 2018.

This agreement has been extended multiple times, with the most recent extension occurring on 28 March 2022, set to expire on 28 February 2024.

The MoU extends the collaboration between Egypt and the UAE in the field of government work development for an additional two years, until 28 February 2026.

Dr. Hala El-Said remarked that the MoU reflects both governments’ desire to continue their journey of enhancing and developing joint procedures aimed at strengthening institutional capacities in governance improvement.

This collaboration includes mutual benefits in government work development, capacity and skill-building within institutions, and other related areas.
