Egypt has provided refuge to 3,706 individuals injured since the onset of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, according to informed sources for Cairo News Channel. The country has also facilitated the entry of a substantial amount of aid into Gaza during this period.

From the start of the conflict to yesterday, Egypt has dispatched 123 ambulances and delivered 43,073 tons of relief materials to the embattled Gaza Strip. Furthermore, Egypt has welcomed 6,071 companions and individuals in humanitarian distress since the aggression began.

The sources also revealed that Egypt has supplied the Gaza Strip with 10,235 tons of fuel since the conflict’s commencement. Additionally, about 129,329 tons of food and 26,364 tons of water have been transported into Gaza up to the present day, highlighting Egypt’s ongoing support amidst the crisis.

Since the onset of the Gaza war on October 7, Egypt has actively engaged in mediation efforts aimed at achieving a long-term settlement between the Palestinian factions and Israel. Egypt’s continuous efforts to broker peace have been complemented by Qatar, highlighting the regional push for a resolution to the conflict. Despite the intensification of hostilities, Egypt has put forward several initiatives to establish a ceasefire, underlining its central role in regional diplomacy.

On the humanitarian front, hundreds of evacuees, including foreign nationals and those with dual citizenship, were able to leave Gaza and enter Egypt through the Rafah border crossing. This movement was part of a coordinated effort involving Egypt, Israel, and Hamas, mediated by Qatar in coordination with the United States. Among the evacuees were employees of international aid organizations, demonstrating a critical step towards addressing the immediate humanitarian crisis.

In response to the dire situation in Gaza, the Egyptian Red Crescent signed a cooperation protocol with the Bahraini Royal Humanitarian Foundation, committing EGP 50 million to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians. This aid package is aimed at providing essential food, medical supplies, and relief materials, such as tents and blankets, to those affected by the conflict.
