Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Jordanian King Abdullah II have jointly voiced their unequivocal rejection of any forced displacement of Palestinians to either Egypt or Jordan.

The leaders, convening during the Egyptian-Jordanian summit in Cairo, emphasized the potential threat such calls pose to regional security.

In their discussions, the two leaders underscored the imperative of ensuring the continued flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing in a sustainable manner.

The leaders reviewed the persistent efforts of both Egypt and Jordan in promoting calm and mitigating escalations, highlighting the unwavering stance of the two nations.

They emphasized that achieving genuine and lasting stability in the region hinges on Palestinians securing their rightful, independent state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

This, they stressed, aligns with international legitimacy resolutions and holds the promise of peace, security, and prosperity for all peoples in the region.
