Aterian Plc, a mining exploration and development company, has identified new mineralised copper zones at its Jebilet Est project in Morocco.
Recent exploration revealed a high-grade copper sample of 9.25% from a previously untested vein outcrop, reaffirming the strong grades reported in earlier assessments. Additional discoveries included copper grades of 2.09% and 0.88% at newly found quartz-carbonate veins.
The recent findings have extended the project’s licensed target area by 250 meters, expanding the total vein zone to 3.25 kilometers. Sampling efforts in the region have also produced copper grades of up to 0.56% from recent assessments and as high as 4.43% from earlier samples, with multiple veins observed across a surface width of up to 120 meters.
Future sampling and exploration will be enhanced by Canadian manufacturer GEM Systems’ Overhauser magnetometer, with more ground magnetics surveys scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2024. Aterian Plc plans to leverage the results from these surveys to guide further exploration and development efforts.
