The Secretariat General of the League of Arab States has announced it has received an initiative titled “The National Initiative to Solve the Sudanese Crisis” from prominent Sudanese civil figures.

During a meeting with representatives of the Arab League’s Secretariat General, the figures commended the recent Arab summit’s decision in Jeddah, which emphasised the importance of respecting Sudan’s sovereignty and preserving its national institutions.

They also praised the significant humanitarian efforts undertaken by Arab countries to address the challenges faced in the current stage.

Jamal Rushdi, the official spokesperson for the Secretary-General of the Arab League, stated in a press release on Wednesday that the Arab League is open to all Sudanese solution initiatives without endorsing any specific one.

He further mentioned that the Arab League’s Secretariat General continues to coordinate with the United Nations and the African Union in order to contribute to resolving the Sudanese crisis and restoring peace and stability in the country.
