The Algerian Army has detained 16 individuals linked to supporting terrorist groups and 433 illegal migrants during military operations conducted across several provinces over the past week. According to a statement from the Algerian Ministry of Defense, the arrests of the terrorism supporters took place from July 10 to July 16, as part of ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and fight organized crime in all its forms.
Additionally, the statement mentioned that Algerian Army units had successfully apprehended 57 drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to smuggle large quantities of narcotics into the country through the western borders.
In the context of combating illegal immigration, Algerian Coast Guard forces managed to detain 433 illegal migrants of various nationalities in different Algerian states.
