Air Arabia Egypt has launched a direct flight service from Cairo to Sabiha Gökçen International Airport in Istanbul, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

The first flight from Cairo International Airport received a celebratory welcome with a water cannon salute upon its arrival in Istanbul on April 6.

This new service offers three weekly flights between the two cities, aiming to provide an economical and convenient way for passengers to discover Istanbul.

The airline, utilizing Airbus A320 and A321 neo-LR aircraft, boasts a modern fleet with a spacious economy-class seating arrangement.

Additionally, passengers have access to ‘SkyTime’, a complimentary in-flight entertainment streaming service, and a variety of food options through the ‘SkyCafe’ at reasonable prices.

Flight E5 987 departs from Cairo at 11:15 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays, arriving in Istanbul at 2:30 pm, with the return flight, E5 988, leaving Istanbul at 3:20 pm and reaching Cairo at 4:30 pm.

On Saturdays, the service uses an Airbus 320, departing Cairo at 9:55 am and landing in Istanbul at 1:10 pm, with the return journey leaving Istanbul at 2:00 pm and arriving at 3:10 pm.

Air Arabia emphasizes its commitment to comfort and affordability in its statement, highlighting its position as a significant player in the budget airline market.

In October 2023, Air Arabia unveiled its newest route, connecting Sharjah to the historical city of Giza in Egypt.

Starting December 6, 2023, there will be five direct flights every week between Sharjah International Airport and Sphinx International Airport.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are glad to announce the launch of our new flights from Sharjah International Airport to Sphinx International Airport in the historic city of Giza, Egypt.”

“Sphinx International Airport marks Air Arabia’s fourth destination in Egypt from Sharjah, following Cairo International Airport, Borg Al-Arab International Airport, and Sohag International Airport.”
