The United Arab Emirates, through its Supreme Audit Institution (SAI), actively participated in the 3rd Anti-Corruption Working Group (ACWG) Meeting and the G20 Anti-Corruption Ministers Meeting from 9th to 12th August in Kolkata.
The UAE’s presence at the forum underscores its strategic objective to bolster its role in the global anti-corruption landscape. Participating in the discussions, the UAE delegation sought to pave the way for innovative and effective policies promoting integrity and accountability.
Furthermore, the UAE aims to cultivate bilateral relations among G20 members and guest nations. A key component of this goal is fostering international collaboration, ensuring synchronized global efforts in combating corruption.
An SAI spokesperson remarked, “Our involvement at this esteemed gathering mirrors the UAE’s dedication to integrity, accountability, and the sharing of knowledge. Our aim is to intensify international cooperation and construct pivotal partnerships, achieving shared aspirations.”
Emphasizing the UAE’s commitment, the spokesperson added, “Tackling corruption and its associated risks demands collaborative endeavor. At the Supreme Audit Institution, we work hand in hand with global counterparts, devising innovative strategies to inspire the public and promote principles of integrity and accountability. Our aim is to reinforce UAE’s global standing in governance excellence.”
