The Turkish Ambassador to Egypt, Salih Mutlu Şen, and his Qatari counterpart, Salem bin Mubarak Al-Shafi, are discussing the possibilities of joint investments in Egypt.

Şen highlighted in a Twitter post that they evaluated the investment opportunities their countries could tap into jointly.

The Turkish Ambassador added that an internal consultative meeting involving Turkish and Qatari investors is slated for October.

Recently, relations between Egypt and Turkey have seen positive developments. Last month, both nations agreed to elevate their diplomatic relations to the ambassadorial level.

Despite their political differences, Egypt and Turkey have maintained their trade relationship over the years.

Official data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics in Egypt show a significant increase in the trade volume between the two nations.

In 2022, it rose to $7.7 billion, up from $6.7 billion in 2021 – a 14 percent increase. This continuous growth showcases the potential for increased joint investments and economic collaboration in the future.

The upcoming meeting presents an exciting development in the tripartite cooperation between Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar and opens up new avenues for the regional investment landscape.
