Russia and Mongolia have agreed to strengthen economic ties, culminating in the signing of cooperation agreements in the fields of energy, trade, and transport. These agreements were finalized during a visit by President Vladimir Putin to Ulaanbaatar, where he held talks with Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa.

The visit, which defied an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court over alleged war crimes in Ukraine, also focused on expanding an economic corridor between Russia, Mongolia, and China.

Mongolian President Khurelsukh emphasized the importance of the visit, stating, “Mongolia stands for the development and expansion of cooperation with its eternal neighbor, the Russian Federation.” He added that Putin’s visit plays a significant role in enriching the friendly relations between the two nations.
