Ukraine has imposed sanctions on nearly 150 entities and individuals associated with Russia’s aviation infrastructure, marking another step in its ongoing efforts to weaken Moscow’s military capabilities.

In a speech shared on his Telegram channel on Sunday evening, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the new sanctions, stating, “I signed several new sanction decisions yesterday to enforce the sanctions of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.”

According to Zelensky, these sanctions target “about 150 legal entities and individuals who ensure the operation of aviation infrastructure in Russia.”

Additionally, Zelensky mentioned that he approved another round of sanctions against Ukrainians who support Russia, whom Ukrainian authorities label as “collaborators.”

Details of these new sanctions packages have not yet been published on the official Ukrainian presidential website.

The most recent decree available on Zelensky’s website, dated August 30, announced the dismissal of Mykola Oleshchuk, the Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, following the crash of an American F-16 fighter jet that had been provided to Ukraine by its Western allies.
