The Presidency of Turkish Defense Industries has announced its participation in the upcoming Egypt International Airshow, “Egypt Air Show 2024,” showcasing the “Hürjet” jet trainer.
The Turkish jet will be featured at the air show in Cairo between September 3 and 5, as part of an international effort to promote the aircraft.
Cairo has shown interest in this type of aircraft, and discussions about the potential acquisition will take place at the air show with the Egyptian side and representatives from various regional countries.
Additionally, the event will highlight other military products from Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), the manufacturer of “Hürjet.”
The Egypt International Air and Space Show is one of the most significant defense events in the Middle East and North Africa, attracting leading names in the international aviation and defense industries, including giants like Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, and Dassault Aviation.
The event provides a crucial platform for global companies to access regional markets.
On the sidelines of the show, world-renowned aerobatic teams will perform spectacular aerial displays.
During the promotional campaign for the first edition of the Egypt Air and Space Show, the Egyptian Armed Forces revealed the MiG-29 fighter jet, showcasing its advanced armaments including short and long-range air-to-air missiles, and tactical missiles like the Kh-35UE, which is capable of striking sea and ground targets and has a range of up to 260 km.
The air show is expected to host over 100 countries and more than 300 companies and entities from around the world, with many experts in the aviation, aerospace, and defense industries in attendance.
