Yemeni Defense Minister, Major General Mohsen Al-Daeri, emphasized the importance of bolstering the military’s resilience and readiness across all levels to maintain Yemen as a bastion of safety and stability.

During a meeting with the heads of departments and directors within the Ministry of Defense, broadcast by Yemen’s satellite channel on Wednesday, Al-Daeri stressed the need for concerted efforts and role integration among various sectors including field operations, administration, logistics, and mobilization.

The minister directed an increase in efforts and the mobilization of resources to train armed forces personnel in various specialities.

The training programs aim to enhance leadership, administrative, and field skills, thereby improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Yemeni armed forces.

Al-Daeri’s directives focus on elevating the military institution to the highest standards of competence and capability.

The US Central Command (USCENTCOM) forces have successfully destroyed three Iranian-backed Houthi uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) launched from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen over the Gulf of Aden.

Additionally, USCENTCOM forces successfully destroyed one Iranian-backed Houthi UAS in a Houthi-controlled area of Yemen.

Separately, the US forces successfully destroyed one Houthi uncrewed surface vessel (USV), one Houthi uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV), and one Houthi anti-ship ballistic missile (ASBM) in the Red Sea.

These weapons posed a clear and imminent threat to US and coalition forces, as well as merchant vessels in the region. This reckless and dangerous behaviour by Iranian-backed Houthis continues to threaten regional stability and security.

Tensions in the Middle East have been escalating between Israel and its adversaries since the Hezbollah attack on children playing soccer in the Golan Heights, which killed a dozen, and the death of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
