The Kuwaiti General Authority for Communications and Information Technology announced that Kuwait has achieved the first place globally in the ICT Development Index (IDI) issued by the International Telecommunication Union, for the second consecutive time.

In a statement on Friday, the Kuwaiti General Authority for Communications stated that the development in the index reflects positively on foreign investors, contributing to attracting foreign capital for investment within Kuwait. This initiative aims to create new job opportunities and diversify income sources in Kuwait.

The IDI measures the development of the information and communications technology sector, indicating the secure usage of the Internet in the country, with a 99.4% rate of internet usage among individuals in Kuwait.
