The National Oil Corporation (NOC) of Libya announced that crude oil production has reached 1.254 million barrels per day.

Additionally, the production of condensates stood at 54,141 barrels per day, and natural gas production was 200,483 barrels of oil equivalent per day over the last 24 hours.

On June 11, the NOC revealed a comprehensive plan to drill 121 new wells in 2024 to explore and exploit natural resources of oil and gas.

The corporation also highlighted maintenance work on approximately 1,335 existing wells to ensure sustainable oil production.

NOC Chairman Farhat Bengdara, in a meeting with the Head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul-Hamid Dbaiba, on June 9, stated that the primary objective is to increase oil production to 2 million barrels per day by the end of 2025.

Bengdara emphasized that the production boost will be gradual, with efforts underway to bring back international oil companies to operate in Libya and contribute to the approved projects and plans for increased output.

Prime Minister Dbaiba stressed the importance of unifying the efforts of all state institutions to increase production and enhance the performance of affiliated companies.

He called for transparency in all projects and data and advocated for supporting the private sector by integrating it with several foreign companies.

This collaboration aims to enhance the efficiency and skills of Libyan personnel.
