As the International Criminal Court (ICC), headquartered at the Peace Palace in The Hague, Netherlands, nears issuing its ruling on international arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, the Israeli military has issued a series of recommendations to mitigate potential damage.

Israeli Channel 13, citing sources, reported that the decisions expected to be issued by the Hague Court within 10 days are causing significant concern for Netanyahu. The report added that extensive discussions are taking place on this matter.

To reduce the anticipated damage to Israel, the Israeli military has drafted a document containing several recommendations at the political level on how to minimize international damage to Israel, according to the Israeli channel.

The document includes proposals to open additional humanitarian corridors to allow aid to reach Gaza residents, permit waste removal in Gaza to improve sanitary conditions, and establish additional hospitals for citizens.

Senior legal officials in Israel’s National Security Council and the Foreign Ministry are currently holding discussions in front of the Knesset (Israeli parliament). In this context, a political source close to Netanyahu stated, “This decision, if implemented, would be a global disgrace.”

Last month, Karim Khan, the Chief Prosecutor of the ICC in The Hague, said in an interview with the American network CNN that the court is seeking to issue arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
