King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia has issued a directive to host 1,000 pilgrims from Gaza, specifically relatives of martyrs and the injured, to perform Hajj this year.

This initiative, titled “Hosting Pilgrims of Martyrs and Injured from Gaza,” brings the total number of Palestinian pilgrims hosted by Saudi Arabia to 2,000.

This program is part of the “Guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit,” managed by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, who oversees the program, expressed profound gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for this generous initiative.

He highlighted that this gesture underscores the Saudi leadership’s continuous support and care for the Palestinian people, reflecting their unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause.

“This exceptional hosting is a balm and a relief for the people of Gaza, showcasing the Kingdom’s long-standing solidarity with the Palestinian people, from the era of King Abdulaziz to the current prosperous era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince.

It emphasizes their dedicated attention to the issues of the Islamic Ummah, particularly the Palestinian issue,” said Dr. Al-Sheikh.

He further noted that following the royal directive, the ministry promptly began preparations to welcome the guests from Gaza, forming several committees tasked with ensuring the pilgrims’ smooth and easy Hajj experience.

This noble initiative not only reinforces Saudi Arabia’s ongoing support for Palestinians but also exemplifies the Kingdom’s broader commitment to humanitarian efforts within the Muslim world.
