Italian club Napoli has announced the appointment of former Juventus and Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte as their new head coach.

Conte has signed a three-year contract with Napoli, which will see him earning approximately 6.5 million euros annually.

The 54-year-old Italian manager has an impressive track record, having won the Serie A title four times—three times with Juventus and once with Inter Milan.

He also led Chelsea to a Premier League title during his tenure there.

On Tuesday night, photos of a dinner between Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis and Conte surfaced on social media, adding to the excitement.

“Welcome Antonio,” de Laurentiis wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, alongside a photo of Conte signing his contract.

Conte’s last managerial role was with Tottenham Hotspur, where he worked for a year and a half before leaving the club.

Conte’s managerial career began with Arezzo, and he later had successful stints with Bari, Atalanta, Siena, Juventus, the Italian national team, Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Napoli has been one of the top-performing teams in Serie A in recent years, consistently competing for top positions in the league and participating in European competitions.

With Conte’s track record of winning domestic titles, Napoli fans will be hopeful that he can lead the team to further success in both Serie A and European tournaments.

Known for his tactical acumen and ability to motivate players, Conte typically employs a 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 formation, focusing on solid defence and quick transitions.
