UEFA announced that Budapest will host the 2026 men’s Champions League final, while the decision for the 2027 final in Milan has been postponed due to uncertainties surrounding the San Siro stadium, according to AP.

The Puskás Arena and San Siro were the sole contenders for these two finals. The upcoming final on June 1 will take place at London’s Wembley Stadium, followed by a final at Bayern Munich’s stadium next year.

Additionally, the 2026 Europa League final will be held at Besiktas’ downtown stadium in Istanbul, with the 2027 match set for Eintracht Frankfurt’s stadium.

The 2025 Europa Final will occur at Athletic Bilbao’s stadium, which is also the venue for next week’s Women’s Champions League final.

Germany’s Leipzig will host the 2026 Conference League final, and Istanbul is slated to host the 2027 final, possibly at the Besiktas stadium, though this may be subject to change.

Last April, UEFA announced plans to expand the team rosters to 26 members for the upcoming European Championship in Germany, a decision emerging from recent discussions with team coaches.

The conversations took place in Dusseldorf on Monday with coaches of the teams that have secured their spots in Euro 2024.

European football’s governing body issued a statement acknowledging the diverse opinions and perspectives presented during the discussion.

The schedule leading up to Euro 2024 includes several key dates such as the Premier League’s last match day on May 19, Southgate’s announcement of the provisional England squad on May 21, and the finals of the Europa League, FA Cup, and Champions League spanning from May 22 to June 1.
