Algeria & Italy Sign MoU in Higher Education & Scientific Research

Algeria and Italy signed a joint memorandum of understanding in the field of higher education and scientific research in the capital, Algiers, on Tuesday.

The memorandum aims to enhance bilateral cooperation and achieve a partnership in scientific research.

The signing ceremony was attended by Algerian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Kamel Bidari and Italian Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, on Wednesday, at the headquarters of the Algerian ministry in the capital.

Bidari explained that the memorandum aims to develop and strengthen cooperation in higher education and scientific research, reaching a special partnership in the educational field to provide a unified educational environment between Algerian and Italian universities.

Additionally, it aims to establish a joint university and research network between the two countries.

Furthermore, this memorandum aims to conclude a twinning agreement between various academic institutions of both countries, and prepare for the establishment of a fourth-generation university in both countries, enhancing the transition from a traditional university to an entrepreneurial university that contributes to wealth creation.

Bernini expressed her readiness for “exchanging academic and research experiences between the two countries to address challenges in university training and scientific research, and prepare students for future professions in various fields.
