The Jordanian Armed Forces (Arab Army), in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, have dispatched a new convoy of food aid to our people in Gaza, in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP) and several international charitable organizations.

The convoy, consisting of 41 trucks carrying essential food parcels, will pass through the Karam Abu Salem Crossing to Gaza, where it will be distributed to our people in the region through partner associations and organizations.

Hussein Al-Shibli, Secretary-General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, stated that Jordan continues to send humanitarian aid and deliver it to its rightful beneficiaries in various areas of the Gaza Strip.

He emphasized that Jordan is fulfilling its duty towards the brothers and sisters in the Gaza Strip who are facing difficult circumstances, despite the increasing tensions and obstacles facing Jordanian humanitarian aid convoys.

Al-Shibli explained that the total number of land trucks that have entered the Gaza Strip to date is 1,321 trucks, along with 57 planes via Al-Arish, while 93 Jordanian air drops and 242 air drops in cooperation with sisterly and friendly countries have been executed.

The Gaza Strip, a small territory located on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea, has faced numerous challenges, including economic hardship, political instability, and conflict.

The region has been subjected to a blockade by Israel and Egypt since 2007, severely restricting the movement of people and goods in and out of Gaza.

The blockade has contributed to a humanitarian crisis, with widespread poverty, unemployment, and inadequate access to basic services such as healthcare and education.

Humanitarian aid from countries like Jordan plays a crucial role in alleviating the suffering of the people of Gaza and providing them with much-needed assistance.
