Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asumi, President of the Arab Parliament, denounced the war crimes and genocide committed by the ruthless occupation in the Gaza Strip, revealing the extent of international hypocrisy in today’s world.

He emphasized that the current international system, managed by the United Nations Security Council, has proven incapable of managing the current global order, which necessitates fundamental change.

Al-Asumi stressed the urgent need for adherence to international law and legitimate international resolutions to prevent the law of the jungle from prevailing.

Delivering his speech at the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva from March 23 to 27, focusing on the role of parliamentary diplomacy in building bridges for peace, Al-Asumi highlighted the global community’s failure to halt the killing of children, women, and elderly individuals in Palestine.

He described the continuous six-month-long atrocities, including genocide and brutal massacres, as unprecedented in contemporary history. Additionally, he criticized the deliberate policy of starvation and slow death imposed by the ruthless occupying entity on the wounded and injured.

Al-Asumi urged the Inter-Parliamentary Union, as the representative body of free peoples’ parliaments, to take a strong and unequivocal stance against the massacres and crimes perpetrated by the occupation in Gaza.

He emphasized the importance of solidarity not only with the Palestinian people but also with humanity as a whole, which rejects such atrocities regardless of religion, race, or ethnicity.

The daily statistics no longer merely record numbers of martyrs and casualties but also reflect the daily toll of massacres committed against entire families, underscoring the brutality of the terrorist practices carried out by the ruthless occupier in Gaza.

Al-Asumi called for decisive action to end the suffering and restore justice in Gaza, emphasizing the imperative for international accountability and condemnation of the ongoing atrocities.
